My wife Cheryl said this week “Jonathan, with all the promoting and marketing we’ve been doing, why haven’t we addressed this situation with positive action?”.

“Like what?” I said, thinking she was correct, of course, but also a little defensive.  I wanted to be acknowledged, however she was right.

“Like what? Really.” I said again.

“How about a sale of some kind?  Something that demands attention, now, so we can pay these taxes off and avoid a majority of the penalties and interest payments of extending.  It’s what the big guys do when they want to create some action in the slow times”.

The BackPack Buddies Program provides children from food-insecure homes with weekend meals during the school year. Local corporations, civic groups, and individuals help collect and pack bags with kid-friendly non-perishable food. The children receive a backpack containing six balanced meals and two healthy snacks at the end of every week. MIX personalities will be on location at Crabtree Valley Mall and Cary Crossroads on August 19 encouraging listeners to donate food, new backpacks and monetary contributions. In 2009, $27,000 and over 10,000 pounds of food were donated through the annual drive with MIX 101.5 to fight childhood hunger in our community.

Should Jumpin Jonny’s Open On Glenwood South?

There has been a bit of a buzz going on around Jumpin’ Jonny’s this past week.  It looks like we have a chance to open a location on “Glenwood South” probably the hottest part of the entire Raleigh market right now. Our new location would would bring The Best Cheese Steak From Here To Philly and Beyond right down to where all the action is.

Just think about all those bar hoping rabble rousers (I used to be one myself) starting their night out with a Cheese Steak and pitcher of beer and circling back after for maybe another one or how about a huge Jumpin Jonny’s Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich or some wings to help cure what will ale them in the morning.

Happy 5 Year Anniversary Jumpin’ Jonny
Have you ever though of expanding?

At the time of my writing this it is the day of our 5th Anniversary.  Just yesterday I was speaking with one of my many regulars who said “Heck if you made it 5; you got another 5 in you?”.

I say the heck with that!

5 years in the same space doing the same thing just might drive me over the deep end.  It is time to grow and go!  I say “The heck with 5 years, I want
another 20 or 30!”. It is time to turn it up around here!

My intention from day one of Jumpin’ Jonny’s was not to have just one little store in the Brier Creek Section of Raleigh, NC.  It was to grow!  Which we have and we have done it well.  We started out with 1275 square feet with little to no seating and have grown to 2000 square feet, a dining room and full patio seating surrounding us and we still need more seating (a good problem to have)

It is time to take it a step further and grow outside our existing four walls.  It is time to take our show on the road!

I have been working hard on a plan to include all those that have expressed interest in expanding Jumpin’ Jonny’s over the years .
